Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Frontkrieg collects when you visit frontkrieg.games or play the Game, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We ask for as little as possible: an email address and a nickname are enough to play.

1. What we collect

Account data: email address, nickname and a cryptographically hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.

Technical data: IP address, browser and operating system, device type, approximate country derived from the IP address, and the date you first visited and registered. This is needed to deliver the Game, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

Traffic source data: the page you first landed on, the site that referred you, and campaign parameters in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and similar). We use this to understand which channels bring players.

Game data: your nations, provinces, armies, alliances, diplomacy and chat messages, and match history.

We do not ask for and do not want your real name, postal address, phone number or payment details. The Game is free and has no payments.

2. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

To provide the Game and your account — processing necessary to perform our agreement with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To keep the Game fair and secure, detect multi-accounting, cheating and attacks on our systems — our legitimate interest in a working, fair service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

To measure traffic and understand how the site is used — our legitimate interest, or your consent where the law requires it for analytics cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR).

To reply when you contact support — legitimate interest and, where relevant, performance of our agreement.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage for things the Game needs: keeping you signed in, remembering your chosen interface language, and storing where you came from so traffic sources can be counted.

We also use Google Analytics to measure visits. It sets its own cookies and processes technical data such as IP address and device information. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the Game itself will still work, but staying signed in may not.

4. Who else sees the data

Our hosting and infrastructure providers, which store the data on our behalf under contract.

Google Analytics, as the analytics provider described above.

Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose data.

We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers for their own purposes.

Our servers are located in the European Union. Where a provider processes data outside the EU, that transfer relies on the safeguards required by data protection law, such as the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove or irreversibly anonymise your personal data, normally within 30 days, except where we must keep something to comply with the law or to resolve a dispute.

Technical logs are kept for a short period — normally no longer than 12 months — and then deleted.

6. Your rights

If the GDPR or a comparable law applies to you, you have the right to: access your data; correct it; have it deleted; restrict or object to processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To use any of these rights, write to support@frontkrieg.games from the address linked to your account. We answer within one month.

You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

7. Children

The Game is not intended for children under 16, or under the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that age is lower. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to support@frontkrieg.games and we will delete it.

8. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and access to production data is restricted. No online service can be perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the competent authority of a personal data breach where the law requires it.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows the current version, and significant changes will be announced in the Game or by email.
